Throughout his career, Berrios demonstrated strong leadership qualities and a passion for continuous learning. In 2006, he was promoted to the rank of Captain, and his responsibilities expanded to include roles such as Engine Officer, Squad Officer, Ladder Officer, Training Officer, and Respiratory Protection Supervisor. This diverse range of positions allowed Berrios to gain invaluable expertise and contribute to various aspects of fire service operations.
In recognition of his outstanding performance and dedication, Berrios was promoted to Battalion Chief in 2012. As Battalion Chief, he was responsible for seeing emergency services delivery to the citizens of the 2nd Battalion, ensuring prompt and effective responses to critical situations. His exemplary leadership and commitment to public safety led to his subsequent promotion to Deputy Fire Chief, where he currently oversees the department’s daily operations.
